CRM Developer

Summary: Complete customization & integration work, conduct custom product support training for customers and staff as required, consult with customers on implementation and maintenance of custom RightNow products. Provide documentation and ongoing support for Professional Services custom programming. Requires skills in HTML, PHP, MySQL and Linux.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Complete customization & integration work
  • Conduct custom product support training for customers and staff as required.
  • Consult with customers on implementation and maintenance of custom RightNow products.
  • Provide documentation and ongoing support for Professional Services custom programming.
  • Works with development & hosting to ensure custom programming requests are reasonable and viable, and will not conflict with development of base product functionality or cause issues within the hosted environment.
  • Look to modularize professional services custom code wherever possible to reduce cost of sale & implementation.
  • Ensures all Professional Services custom programming products are clearly documented and tracked within the RightNow Applications to ensure a clear audit trail.

Sales Duties:

  • Assist as directed in the vetting of scopes including tasks required for R&D purposes around proving functionality or capability.

Project Duties:

Complete custom Professional Services work, which can include items such as:

  • Scripts
  • Custom Reports
  • Integration with other applications
  • Front & back end PHP code customization
  • Database input via direct SQL commands & functions.
  • Ensure documentation is completed after a project to given RNT standards
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as directed by the Regional Services Director in conjunction with immediate line management.

Tools used in performance of role:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Microsoft Visio
  • RightNow Technologies CRM (Version 7.x), Service (Version 6.x), E-Service (Version 5.x), HMS (Hosting Management System)

Knowledge Base:

2 + years working in a development or coding background.

Required in-depth knowledge of the following:

  • HTML
  • PHP 4.X
  • MySQL 4.X/5.X
  • UNIX (Linux and/or Solaris) administration, knowledge of Hosting Architectures

  • PERL
  • Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP
